The inspiration for Alton Point Advisors is a beautiful, waterfront community near Ocean City, MD. This community is largely made up of successful everyday people that are living their version of the American Dream. We aim to help our clients achieve the same.

Message From The Founder

Over the past 16 years, I've worked with hundreds of clients to help them achieve confidence and a sense of security with regard to their finances.  I have always believed that if a person hires me to provide financial advice, I owe it to them to bring as much value as possible. 

I founded Alton Point Advisors in order to realize my vision of what financial advice should be. There are no sales goals and no pressure on clients to buy products. All of our client interactions are personalized, and the advice clients receive will be truly unique to their situation. While much of the industry is moving away from custom investment management because it takes a lot of time and effort, I believe clients deserve that from their advisor. Finally, I created a flexible business model centered around what makes sense for a client's situation, not what maximizes company revenue.

My goal with this site is to educate and share what we can offer clients. Be sure to visit the blog section for some valuable insights that are hard-hitting and always written in-house. Armed with this information, you'll be able to make better decisions about your finances and future.

We are proud to operate under the Fiduciary standard here at Alton Point Advisors. Being a fiduciary requires an advisor to put their client's interests before their own, and to disclose conflicts of interest.

Value-Driven

Alton Point Advisors was born out of a desire for maximum capabilities, and maximum flexibility. These features can vary dramatically from firm to firm and the advisors that work under them. The more capable and flexible your advisor is, the greater the value they can add for you.

So many advice providers today choose to stay in a narrow lane because it makes their business more efficient and their lives easier - especially when it comes to how they invest for clients. We disagree with that approach and believe it's our job to make things easier for clients, not ourselves.

First-Class Service

Great service can be hard to find these days. We prefer people to feel like family first and clients second. In addition, we apply the same principles to quality service that we do to everything else: Do what few others are willing or able to do.

Whether it's having a late-night or weekend appointment, frequent communication, or providing education along with advice, offering top quality service is our priority.

Transparency

There is a lot about the financial advice industry that clients may not be aware of. This can be as simple as the meaning of terms like fee-based, fee-only, fiduciary, etc. Or it can be operational, such as when a client believes their advisor is actively managing their investments, but actually isn't.

We aim to explain how things work and exactly what we do for clients. Our Blog will also serve as an ongoing resource for additional thoughts on these topics.

Flexibility

After serving hundreds of clients over 16 years, one thing has become clear: Financial Planning and investment management is not one-size-fits-all. Many people want help in select areas only, while others want comprehensive planning and investment management.

Our model is built to deal with this reality, meaning we can manage your investments, do comprehensive planning, or simply work with you hourly on specific topics. Whatever service level you are looking for, we have an option to help.
